Our Story

Care About Climate was founded in 2014 to build momentum for climate action through international cooperation leading up to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Conference (COP 21) in Paris. Care About Climate continued to build a global cooperation platform designed to support the implementation of the Paris Agreement through volunteer-led programming.

Our Impact

Care About Climate creates pathways for global youth to contextualize their local and individualized experiences within the climate crisis, and use them to advocate at the national and international level. Care About Climate uniquely empowers youth to engage across the spectrum of advocacy activities and offers programming that enables them to do so. By centralizing access to climate education, international climate networks, and training in navigating international policy spaces, youth are provided access to the resources they need to protect their future.

Our Programs

Our 5-program model meets our members and audience where they are at, whether we are introducing them to the climate movement for the first time through use of the #ClimateSign, or raising their passionate, justice-driven voices at the annual UN Climate Negotiations.
